The frontal cortex is a part of the brain that is located in the anterior (front) region of the cerebrum. It plays an important role in higher cognitive functions such as reasoning, planning, problem-solving, and decision making. The frontal cortex also controls motor function, including voluntary movements and coordination. Damage or dysfunction to this area can result in a range of neurological disorders that affect personality, behavior, and cognitive abilities.
